Robert Dean Hinze, age 89, of Endeavor, WI passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Born on August 4, 1936 in Endeavor, WI, he was one of five children born to Rudolph and Elayne (Russell) Hinze. He attended Ox-En Union Free High School in Endeavor and graduated in 1954, where he met the love of his life, Betty. Robert married Betty Mootz in Briggsville, WI on June 18, 1955. Together they settled on their family farm raising their 3 children. He eventually took to the highway becoming an over-the-road truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He spent 16 years with Diamond Transportation out of Racine followed by another 18 years with Neesam Trucking out of Pardeeville. Even retirement couldn't keep him out of the truck. Whether it be driving dump truck or taking his dog for a ride in the pickup, he was always on the move, right up until this last year hauling grain for Kenny Thalacker. He was an active member of the Endeavor Lions Club for several years and a faithful member of the Trinity Endeavor United Church of Christ.

Robert is survived by his wife Betty; sons Gary (Nan) Hinze of Harrisville, Gale Hinze of Illinois, and daughter Linda (Rick) Frozene of Westfield; brothers Russell (Donna) Hinze of Endeavor, Randy (Jean) Hinze of Portage and sister Marilyn (Dan) Morgan of Wisconsin Dells. He was incredibly proud of each of his grandkids to which he supplied endless Little Hugs. Grandchildren Stacy Hinze (Jeff), Derrick (Sheena) Mike, Lindsi (Brent) Lentz, Branden (Kristin) Mike, Jared Hinze, Michael Hinze, Julia (Chester) Hurt, Jamie (Alex) Mickelson; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Bethany), Addisyn, Kypton, Memphis, Brenton, Kaydence, Greyson, Steven, Cheyenne, Colton, Edwin, Winston, Henry, Cohen, Louis, Eloise and Willow; along with great-great-granddaughters, Wyatt and Ruthie. He was preceded by his sister Barb (John) Schulz.

Per Robert's wishes, no service will be held. Instead, a private gathering of family will take place at a later date. His stories and jokes will live on forever in our hearts.

His smile will never be forgotten.
