Robert Dean Walsh, age 88 of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died peacefully Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station with Deacon Tom Hale officiating. Visitation will be held at Conway Picha Funeral Home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Dean, as he was known by family and friends, was born August 7, 1935 in the Seven Mile Creek Township near Lyndon Station, the son of Arthur and Ruth (Kelly) Walsh. In February of 1960 he married Beverly Hladilek in Rockford, Illinois and they lived there and in Rockton, Illinois. During this time Dean owned and operated an office supply store called McFarlands. Following retirement in 1997 he and Beverly moved back to his hometown of Lyndon Station. Dean enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, hunting, and fishing, and "scooping the loop". This was driving around Lyndon Station to see if there were any changes. He will be missed by many.

Dean is survived by daughters, Barbara (Wayne Hannes) Walsh and Wendy (Scott) Demler; a son, Dennis Walsh; grandchildren, Meghan, Jacob, and Amanda; a great granddaughter, Ryliegh; a brother, Larry (Elaine) Walsh and a sister, Patricia Fitzgerald. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly; brothers, Bernard and Patrick and sisters, Monica Wafle and Helen Byrnes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance to St. Mary's Catholic Church would be appreciated.
