Rose Marie Konemann, age 91, of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, reuniting with Clarence, her husband of 70 years.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Lyndon Station with Pastor Alan Boeck officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00. Burial will be at the Lyndon Station Village Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

Rose was born, raised and was a life-long resident of Lyndon Station. She was very proud of that, and the fact that the Rose/Flint intersection will live on (her maiden name). She attended Lyndon grade school and Mauston high school. Rose married Clarence Konemann on November 29, 1952, a few months after he returned from Korea. She was baptized, confirmed and married (and now buried) at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. They were blessed with three children, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren (by no means an unlucky number). Rose was an amazing, under-the-radar woman and never really got the credit she deserved. She dearly loved her husband, her family, her church, and her town. She served them all admirably, with humor and grace. She likely never realized how special she was. What a great Mother she was, how funny and thoughtful she was, what a great baker and cook she was. She was a proud member of St. Luke's, serving as treasurer and in other capacities for decades. She also served for decades in the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. She had many jobs over the years and was very fond of her early days helping her father establish the Mobil gas station on Flint Street, including running the root-beer stand. Rose worked in Mauston at the old Garment Factory, and in Wisconsin Dells for over 25 years at various jobs. She always showed up for work and she never complained. She was feisty, but dementia and congestive heart failure are tough opponents. At 91 she couldn't fight any longer and she will be joined with Clarence, who also died at 91. Love never dies.

Rose is survived by her children, Linda (Dennis Heatley) of Illinois, Michael (Brenda Wheeler) of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Mark (Bonnie Zoellner) lifelong resident of Lyndon Station; grandchildren, Shannon, Heather, Kristina, Casey, Becca, Ali; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ethan, Lucia, Luther, Lazarus, Lorraine, Lena, Lydia, Logan, Parker, Grayson, Isabella and Scarlett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; granddaughter, Kayla; parents, Noel and Ella Flint and two brothers, Robert and Richard.
