Obituary

Rosetta "Pug" Fisher, age 82 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM. at Picha Funeral Home in Wisconsin Dells, (321 Washington Ave.) Visitation will be held at the Picha Funeral Home from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM. There will be a luncheon following out at Davis Corners community Hall, please come out and enjoy sometime at a place Pug so much enjoyed spending time with the Davis Corners Methodist Woman's Group doing the same thing for her church family.

Pug was born June 15, 1942 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin the daughter of Walter and Mary (Kaatz) Murray. Pug was the 5th oldest of 8 children. We recall a story of her running away when the 6th sibling was born because she wanted nothing to do with having another baby in the family! But she came back when it started to get dark! She spent most of her life in Wis. Dells. She married Verlyn ( Pete) Fisher in Nov, of 59.....Probably the only deer hunting season Pete gave up in the years that followed! Together they had 4 children. Pug worked at numerous businesses in her working years! Many years she was a florist designer at Thompson Florist, and then she was a meat wrapper and deli helper at Zinkes grocery for many years! She was a familiar face of town doing many different jobs. If she was not working , she would help anyone who needed help. It was kind of comical, no matter where she was, she knew someone . Once she and companion Arnold Hester were in Arizona and he stopped to chat with someone and they got on the subject of the Dells, and he mentioned that he was with Rose fisher and low and behold they knew her! Pug enjoyed flower arranging, gardening and spending time with many dear friends

There was something Rose was very proud of and that was that she went back to school in 1979 and earned her diploma!

Rosetta is survived by her sons Shayne Fisher (Retired Sgt. 1st Class), Special person MaryKay ,Troy Sgt. 1st Class (Sherri) Fisher, daughter Liane (Charles) Charmley, brother Terry (Sandy) Murray; sisters Linda (Roger) Peterson, Adeline Pelanek. 15 grandchildren, Brandy, Lucus, Matthew, Falyn (Josh), Miranda, Mikailynn, Sarah. Michael, Rickey, Justin (Lacy), Shayna, David, Corey and Kyle, 11 great grandchildren, Alex, Avi, Natalie, Allie, Grace, Brady, Sarai, Remington, Maverick, Desiray and Owen.  Many loved nieces and nephews and dear friends.
