Obituary

Sandra Kathryn Anderson, age 84 of Wisconsin Dells, WI passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 6, 2024, with her family by her side. Sandy, daughter of Max and Gayle (Males) Strain was born in Ames, Iowa on July 7, 1940. She was a graduate of Portage High School. On March 29, 1958, she was united in marriage to Leroy Edwin Anderson in Dubuque, Iowa and their marriage was blessed with four children. Leroy preceded her in death on June 9, 2000.
Sandy worked for many years as a cook for the Patio Restaurant, as well as several other local establishments. She earned a wonderful reputation for her delicious meals and desserts. She took great pleasure in entertaining and hosting meals for her family and friends, cherishing the laughter and warmth that filled the dinner table. Sandy was also a very skilled seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed a wide variety of craft projects, as well as drawing and painting. She was an avid reader and loved listening to books on tape while keeping busy with her many projects. Above all, her greatest joy came from watching her family grow, showering her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with love, and creating special memories with each one of them.
Sandy is survived by her sons, Bret (Linda) Anderson and Bart (Crystal) Anderson; Son In Law John Sobojinski; grandchildren Ben (Katy) Anderson, Ashley (Joe Reed) Anderson, Tierney (Joe) Sawaska, Elise (Brian) Klicko, Mandy (Danny) Fuller, Bart (Jaela) Anderson, Austin (Eglantina) Anderson, Jesse Anderson, Scott Anderson, Cassie (Brian) Fulda, and John Michael Sobojinski; great grandchildren, Emma, Jack and Will Anderson, Blake and Savannah Sawaska, Grayson, Olivia, Seth, Finley, Case, Callie, Crue and Micah Klicko, Mia Mae, Dakota and Vivian Fuller, Johnse, Matthew, Samuel, and Timothy Anderson, Arlo and Rowan Anderson, Oliver and Wyatt Fulda and Connor Harding. Sandy is further survived by her brothers Max and Randy Strain, Sisters-in-Law Patricia Morse, Margery Anderson, and Mary Anderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Gayle, husband Leroy, daughter Brenda Sobojinski, and infant son Brad, as well as her In-Laws Robert, Fern, and Edith Anderson, Brothers-in-Law Phillip Anderson, Stanley Anderson, John Morse, and Sister-in-Law Ingrid Anderson.
A private graveside funeral service will be held per Sandy's request.
