Sergey Makarov, age 63 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

A funeral for Sergey will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Picha Funeral Home – Wisconsin Dells with Fr. John Blewett celebrating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.

Sergey was born on August 10, 1961, in Russia. The son of Uriy and Taisiya (Esterskova) Makarov. Sergey's proudest contribution to this world was that he was a loving & committed husband, father and grandfather. He had a deep zest for life and an admirable passion and dedication towards everything he did. His favorite place to be was at home, surrounded by family and friends. Sergey had a special gift of connecting with others and making new friends wherever he went. He was a selfless man, always handy and ready to come to one's aide when needed. He will be remembered fondly when we think of fishing, cars, and driving. Sergey remains in the hearts of his family and friends, with endless love, now and forever.

Sergey is survived by his wife Elena, son Anton and daughter Alexandra (Ruslan). He is also survived by his sister Galena Korotkova and grandchildren Milana and Daniil.

He is preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law.
