Sharon Lynn Whitaker, age 70, of Madison, Wisconsin passed away on July 18, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service for Sharon will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Presbyterian Church in Wisconsin Dells with Rev. Steven Keller presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
Sharon was born on December 6, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The daughter of David and Dorothy (Johnson) Leggett.
Sharon met her soulmate, David in Milwaukee Wisconsin. They were married for over 50 years and had 3 children. They moved to Adams, Wisconsin in the late 1980's, where they resided while their children were growing up. Family time was so important to Sharon; she loved being with family and friends, whether they were camping or having a bonfire. Her grandkids stole her heart! They were her pride and joy. The sun rose and set around them.
Sharon is survived by her husband, David, daughter, Jackie (Edward) Whitaker, son Colton Whitaker, brother Arthur Leggett and sister Judy Pallan; grandchildren, Kenya Lemons, Kendra (Aswan) Lemons, Donivan Lemons, Daquan Thompson, Isabella Whitaker and Caleb Whitaker; great-grandchildren, Jaciannah, Kanielle, Laylonnie and Patiennce. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She has proceeded in death by her parents, Dorothy and David Leggett, son David JR (Brute), grandson, Carter Whitaker and brother, David Leggett.
The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice of Madison for their time and support during Sharon's care.
Following the service, the family will have a Luncheon gathering at Bowman Park in Wisconsin Dells.
