Obituary

Summer Dawn White Eagle of the Ho-Chunk Nation, born on September 2, 1976, walked on to her next journey on July 12, 2024.

A time of sharing service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Conway-Picha Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service at 5:00 P.M.

Summer was a beacon of generosity and a spirit of helpfulness, always ready to share her enthusiasm with anyone she encountered.  Her capacity to love deeply and her desire to be loved in return defined her life. She found immense joy in traveling, whether it was sailing in Mallorca, Spain, or road trips all over the country with friends and family. She loved being on the water, attending great concerts but mostly, cuddling with her fur babies. She was a proud Packer's season ticket holder, but was even prouder to attend her nephew's games, often waking up early to help cheer them on and tell them how excited she was to see how much fun they were having.

Summer's radiant spirit and kind energy drew people to her wherever she went. Her presence could light up any room, with her laughter and joking.  She was encouraging, honest and will be remembered so fondly by all who knew her.

Summer's love extended to her fur babies, whom she adored unconditionally and took everywhere, regardless of their enthusiastic yipping. She held a BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management and a Master's in Training and Development from UW-Stout. Her passion laid in bringing people together for events, planning, teaching as well as sharing her enthusiasm in the hospitality industry.

She is survived by her mother, Anne Johnson; sister Autumn Whiteagle, brother Calvin (Dustyn) White Eagle; her nephew and nieces, Calvin, Maxus, and Ruby WhiteEagle; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins and numerous friends all over the world.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Calvin and Georgina Whiteagle, her father, Timothy Whiteagle, and her nephew, Atlas White Eagle and Minnow and Oliver.

Summer WhiteEagle's memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her generous spirit, love for adventure, and nurturing kindness have left an indelible mark on the hearts of many and she will be missed dearly.

The family would love for those attending, to bring a picture, note or antidote to be put up for all to see.
