Tempest Lois Beighley, age 33, of Baraboo, Wisconsin walked on Friday, November 1, 2024.
A funeral service for Ma,a, Ei,ga will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 12 Noon at the Native American Church with Garrick Cleveland Jr. presiding. She will be laid to rest following the service at the Indian Baptist Church Cemetery.
Tempest Lois Beighley "Ma,a, Ei,ga" was born in Baraboo, WI on March 18, 1991, to her mother Junetta "Dumpy" (Decorah) Beighley and her father Gerald "Bucky" Beighley. Tempest was a free spirit who greeted everyone with a smile and had the ability to make everyone in her presence laugh, she had a contagious laugh and a bright smile. Tempest was artistic, creative, outgoing, wild and huge hearted. She enjoyed many different things including playing pool, drawing, listening to music, playing spades and dominos, going to Powwows, and going to the NAC and teasing her siblings. Most importantly she loved spending time with her friends and family. She loved her children unconditionally and had an admirable love for God. A quote we will always remember from Ma,a, Ei,ga was "The storm you fear brings me comfort because that's my people up there! I fall I'll rise by the end of the day".
Tempest is survived by her children Janitta and Maanape Pamonicutt, her father Gerald, her "dad's" Waylen Green and Charles Hopinkah Sr., her mother's Jennifer, Janella, Rosella, Menissa Christee, and Leeja,. Her uncles Stanley, Frisk, Thunder and Herman. Her brothers Jonah Decorah (Vinjintz, Masyn, Zamaya, and Carter), Jamieson W. Patterson (Josiah, Jamieson Jr., and Hazel-Lynn), Samuel Robinson Beighley, Choice, Maynard, Michael, Amos, Anthony, Charles "Chuckie", Benjamin, Destin, Cal, Cyrus, Matthias, Ritechus, Alaress, Jashaun, Jamos, Loyale, Tony, Julius, Waylen Jr.; her sisters Jeanie, Emma, Kami, Mamie Beighley, Sadie Peterson, Anita, Joleen, Ty Rae, Solae, Summer, Makiesha "Bubbles", Lataysia "Bird. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother Junetta Beighley-Decorah, mother's Jeanette Decorah and Michelle Thomas, maternal grandparents Wanda (White Eagle) and Carl Decorah, paternal grandparents Bonnie Frogg-Funmaker and Gerald Beighley Sr., grandpa Morgan White Eagle, grandmother's Vera Thomas, Helen Lonetree, June White Thunder, and Dale White Eagle, and uncle Marcel Decorah, nephews Jaxon Hopinkah and Malackai Decorah.
