Terrell Coleman, age 25 of Killeen, Texas, formerly of Madison, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Friday, December 14, 2018 at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. He was an active duty member of the United States Army.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home, 120 East Adams Street, Lake Delton, Wisconsin with Chaplain Kieth GeRue officiating. Terrell was born July 13, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Brian Coleman and Nakia Harper Bray. After living in Chicago for 6 years his family relocated to Madison. This is where his mother and Roland Goodall raised Terrell together. Terrell attended Leopold Elementary, John Muir Elementary, Falk Elementary, Toki Elementary, James Memorial High School and in 2010 he finished his HSED at the Wisconsin Challenge Academy at Fort McCoy.
Terrell began working at the age of 18 first as a cashier at the Silly Yak Bakery and soon after transitioned his employment as a gas station attendant. Terrell felt that life didn't stop there and became a lunch and playground assistant for the Madison Metropolitan School District at Falk Elementary. Terrell adored children and they loved him as well. The boys would always say "Mr. Coleman is here today and we can play football". Terrell also volunteered for many things: Special Olympics at Ft. McCoy, St. Marie's Church as a painter, and at Falk Elementary Parent Teacher Organization, always helping out when it came to the kiddo's.
Terrell was a private and laid back kind of guy, having a smile that would light up a room. Terrell played sports in high school and his favorite things to do were fishing, singing, dancing, writing songs, education and family. Terrell was an excellent swimmer and he enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially basketball and football. He was a silly type of person and always tell his little brother, "get that money, money, but the right way" or "just tell people just smack yourself". He was very humorous.
Terrell's mom was remarried in 2015 to Jaton T. Bray. Together, Jaton and Terrell became father and son, watching sports, telling jokes and taking trips to the gun range. Jaton made sure Terrell became a man by taking care of his family and his responsibility as a son and brother and just be a man that people respect and can be proud to call a friend or at least know him. Words from Jaton, "I love you so much son and am so proud that you called me Pops".
In February of 2018 he married Leahlynn Herrmann in Ft. Hood, Texas where he was stationed with the U.S. Army. They were blessed with a daughter. Terrell loved spending time with his family and teasing his friends.
Terrell leaves to cherish his memories by his wife, Leahlynn; daughter, Londynn; father, Brian; mother, Nakia (Jaton) Bray; his grandparents, Isabella Lewis and Luvern and Richard Crnich; great grandmother, Mavis Coleman; brothers, Tra'Vaughn Harper, Brian Coleman and Jahmari Coleman; and sisters, Takela Harper, Tamara Harper, Yasmyn Lewis and Bri'elle Coleman and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
